House M.D. Fic/ Art Challenge from my Kids.

Hi y'all!  Last night my daughters Meagan (15) and Emily (13) went out for a late supper at Montana's and as we were waiting for our food we were kidding around and I acted like a teenager for the first time since I was a teen!  It was fun, and heaven knows I need fun right about now!  At Montana's they have paper tablecloths and they give you crayons (whether there are kids with you or not) so you can doodle as you wait.  I told my girls that I wanted to write a fun House fic but I didn't know what to base it on.  So they started brainstorming for me on the tablecloth, which was cool!  Usually they think I'm lame for being such a die hard House fan!

The challenge is the main character must be House.  They told me to use at least five of the following prompts to write a fun, not shipping fic based anytime post season six but with no other particular spoilery elements.  There are the prompts they came up with:

1.)  Beginning lines:  a) "Snap!  House cursed as the crayon snapped between his fingers."
                                      b) "It all began with a crayon and a margarita."

2.)  Sidekick(s):  Wilson with some Taub thrown in for the heck of it.

3.)  Villain:  Nurse Jeffrey or Cafeteria cashier.

4.)  Verb:  run/ran or 'boogied'.

5.)  Noun:  platform shoes or talisman

6.)  Adverb:  orgasmically (don't blame me--that was their word);

7.)  Adjective:  beautiful or purple

8.)  Location(s):  OB/GYN exam room or Mexico.

9.)  Mode of Travel:  burro or hot air balloon.

10.)  Special activity(ies):  cliffjumping or mexican hat dancing.

11.)  Special food:  Chocolate covered ants or habanero peppers.

12.)  disease/ condition:  herpes (of any strain or variety of strains) or mononucleosis.

13.)  Nudity allowed?  Yes (non-sexual).

I know what you're thinking--I have some seriously deranged kids.  They come by it honestly, I assure you!  I have a problem, however--I don't own an iPhone so I've never seen the Nurse Jeffrey appisodes.  I don't know anything about him other than he doesn't like House and he's gay.  There is so much potential there but I don't know enough (sigh).

Anyway, they told me to let others know that the challenge is open to everyone, so if anybody wants to try it they are more than welcome to do so.  If you're not a writer, any artistic/digital rendering is fine as well.  The only conditions are:

1.)  No more than 10000 words in length;

2.)  No shipping allowed (although friendship-UST is okay;);

3.)  Rating of  R (T) or below;

4.)  Must use a minimum of five (5) prompts from the list above.  You can use them all if you like;

5.)  It must be fun!  Angst is verbotten (forbidden)!  Any other genre that fits within the parameters is fine!

6.)  House must be the protagonist.

7.)  Wilson must be involved in some way.

My kids will be the judges (keep that in mind 8-D) and the best one wins bragging rights!  (Sorry, my kids are broke.)

I'm going to try this using the prompts:  "It all began with a crayon and a margarita."; Cafeteria cashier; crayon and talisman; Mexico; hot air balloon and nudity.

I challenge the rest of you to try this out!  It's something that could be a lot of fun and inspire a great deal of creativity!

You can find the appisodes on Youtube, though you're not missing anything by not having seen them. Good idea on TPTB's part, poor execution.
